Royal Doulton Figurine Autumntime Prototype

Autumntime Prototype

In 1988, the Royal Doulton International Collectors Club commissioned a figure of Autumntime for the Four Seasons collection which was being offered to members. Art Director, Eric Griffiths, modeled this auburn-haired maiden going to market with a basket of apples and the figurine was decorated in rich autumnal colors. Pauline Parsons also modeled a figurine of Autumntime and this was the version chosen for the Club offer as HN3231. Erics Autumntime remained as a unique prototype and has a Not for sale prototype backstamp.
